Dead Island 2 features a variety of side activities and Lost and Found quests that challenge players to solve environmental puzzles while surviving infected hordes. Among these early challenges is The Clean and Snatch, a quest that tasks players with following a trail of clues across residential pools to locate a valuable weapon chest key. Completing this objective requires careful navigation through toxic hazards, targeted combat encounters, and tracking down journals left by Obi the pool guy.
Starting the Quest and Primary Objectives
To initiate this Lost and Found mission, players must travel to Beverly Hills after unlocking fast travel during the main story campaign. Head to the pool located at Jessie's house to discover a locked container submerged near electrified water. Picking up the nearby note officially begins your search for Obi's key by establishing the main objective of gathering four distinct journal entries.
Finding the Clues Across Beverly Hills
The quest leads players on a pool-hopping expedition throughout the neighborhood to collect logs left behind by Obi. The second journal is positioned on a lounge chair beside the pool of a mansion to the north. Continuing west takes you to Michael's house, where the third clue rests inside an empty pool on top of a toolbox. The final journal note is found sitting beside a corpse next to a contaminated pool in the center of the area.
Locating Obi and Claiming the Key
Once all four journal clues are secured, players must determine the location of Obi's crush based on the recovered records. Travel to Bel-Air and make your way to the southern Goat Pen mansion pool, where a zombified Obi will spawn. Eliminate Obi the Pool Guy in combat to pick up Obi's Key from his remains.
Quest Completion and Weapon Rewards
With Obi's Key in your possession, return to the original container inside the pool at Jessie's house in Beverly Hills. Unlocking the chest completes the quest and grants a significant chunk of experience points along with a powerful melee weapon reward. Players receive the unique Electrocutor Officer's Sword, an electrified blade that delivers high shock damage to undead enemies.
